With so much verdure along this route, I'm hard pressed to consider this desert, unless one takes into account, the overall Summertime aridity of the greater province. Mojave? I thought that the Mojave, is a principally Californian province, with only bits and pieces of that in Arizona and Nevada. Otherwise, I'd consider the rest, of this region, as belonging to the general Coloradan Plateau and Mogollon Rim provinces--some Sonoran Desert in extreme southern Arizona Desert--the bulk of it in Mexico.

Thank you for making this video, it helps put the drive in perspective. Honest question: how scary is it for someone who hates heights? It looks like there is a 20 minute stretch or so where you are "exposed" to the drop offs with no trees or mountain walls around. Would appreciate serious answer from someone who hates heights. Thanks!

I love this part of the country! been on this drive myself and you really get a sense for how remote some stretches of this great country really are when you're out there and on the Mogollon.
